How to Forgive Ourselves?

Writer: Liat BerkoLiat Berko

How wonderful it could be if it were easy for us to forgive ourselves, others, and the world around us... Yet, there is a place within our souls that makes forgiveness difficult, a place that wants to hold onto the energy of mistakes.

The key to forgiveness is in your hands:

To decide to forgive, to release the frequencies, imprints, and negative energies that prevent you from moving forward, and to open a new page, a fresh start.

When we encounter mistakes within ourselves that seek forgiveness, it can be hard to face because the child within us feels that she wasn’t allowed to make them. And if she did, she thought she had no right to exist.

Yom Kippur, which just passed, is a day of forgiveness—from the Holy One, from those around us, and also from ourselves. Yom Kippur teaches us that forgiveness is a fundamental cornerstone of our world and that even mistakes can be corrected. Today, we can learn that just as God forgives us, we can also forgive ourselves for our mistakes. This purity allows the soul to regain its clarity.

When there is an intention for clarity, there is an internal, simple, natural, daily task of maintaining it.

Are you ready to forgive truly, from the love inside you, from a love that carries great flexibility?

Can you learn to be flexible with those around you—at home, outside—through a heart that has been cleansed of its rigidity, even the smallest parts?

This is the time to open a new page and fill it only with what is good and healing.

Wishing you a peaceful journey ahead of you..

Love,
