Beha’alotcha: A Journey of Inner Elevation

The Torah portion of my birthday, “Beha’alotcha,” resonates deeply with my personal journey. Over the past few years, I have come to understand how profoundly its name reflects the path I have walked and continue to walk.

The Essence of "Beha’alotcha"

“Beha’alotcha” comes from the word elevation. This elevation is not about external achievements; it is about an inner awakening. During the COVID period, I experienced a profound spiritual transformation. I began sharing my thoughts and reflections online. To my surprise, many people reached out, saying, “You speak like Yemima.” At that time, I had no idea who Yemima was.

My curiosity sparked a journey of discovery. I started researching her teachings, and one day, I found a phone number and decided to call. To my amazement, her son answered. He told me he usually doesn’t take calls but felt compelled to speak with me. Our conversation flowed, and he shared that I reminded him of his mother—my voice, my energy, and my perspective on life.

This connection opened a door to a beautiful relationship. He began teaching me her texts and shared intimate stories about her life. I was drawn deeply into her world. Her words resonated with my heart and soul. As time passed, I delved deeper into my studies, ultimately completing certification and teacher training. I was even blessed to attend her memorial gathering in Be’er Sheva.

A Soul Connection

From the very beginning, I sensed a soul connection between us. It felt as if we came from the same root, the same soul family. Every time I read her teachings, something within me awakens. It heals me, moves me to tears, and brings me back to my true self. And perhaps that is the essence of “Beha’alotcha.” It is about reigniting the inner flame, remembering the soul, and returning to the heart.
