'Beha’alotcha'. Returning to the Light Within

“Beha’alotcha”…

The Torah portion of my birthday.

And over the past few years, I’ve begun to understand how deeply its name reflects the journey I have been through and still continue to walk.

“Beha’alotcha” comes from the word elevation.

Not an external rise, but an inner awakening.

During the COVID period, I went through a very profound spiritual awakening.

I was sharing many thoughts and reflections online, and people kept reaching out to me saying: “You speak like Yemima.” At that time, I didn’t even know who Yemima was.

My curiosity led me to begin researching her teachings, until one day I called a phone number I had found and her son answered.

He told me he usually never answers phone calls, but something about our conversation touched him. We began speaking, and he told me that I reminded him so much of his mother , in my voice, my energy, and the way I looked at life.

From there, a very special connection opened between us.

He began personally teaching me her texts, while also sharing intimate and profound stories about her life. That was how I entered deeply into her world.

Her words and texts went straight into my heart and soul. Over time, I continued into deeper studies,eventually completing certification and teacher training,and I was even blessed to attend her memorial gathering in Be’er Sheva. (see picture)

From the very beginning, I felt there was a soul connection between us.

As if we came from the same root…the same soul family.

Every time I read her teachings, something inside me opens.

It heals me. Moves me to tears. And brings me back to myself.

And maybe that is truly the meaning of “Beha’alotcha.”

To relight the inner flame.

To remember the soul.

To return to the heart.
